Hayden-Harnett Collects: Lynn Talbot
The Harnett of Hayden-Harnett might have a soft spot for Tromp L'Oeil paintings due to his famous ancestor, but there is no trick to Lynn Talbot's beautifully mysterious compositions. Her still-lives are meticulously composed and painted with skill, but a higher power than craft illuminates her works.

The Golden Ball. See this and other work in our design:shop and at lynntalbot.com.
UPDATE: I always refer to Harnett for certain things; he is so meticulous and mysterious. I was just ruminating on the European still life tradition being basically religious in nature but Harnett and his contemporaries being sly social commentators, a more important role than they are given credit for, as part of creating a tradition of American secular thinking. --LT

You are so thoughtful to think of us, and we cannot wait to use them. I also want to thank you for planting so many trees and donating money to help put a stop to global warming.
