Meet Nicole Joseff! Keeper of the HH archive

Color me impressed! I recently had the pleasure of corresponding with Nicole Joseff, a huge fan of all things Hayden-Harnett.
After we started chatting, I was completely bowled over at the vast extent of her HH collection. I decided to do an interview with Nicole to find out what attracts her to Hayden-Harnett.

*Toni) Tell us a bit about yourself. I love the pic of you below with our Fall08 Harriet jacket and our Gemma tote. I have both in my personal collection. Great pieces.

*Nicole) I live in Berkley, Michigan...a suburb of Detroit. I am recently engaged to a great guy. I realized he actually listened when he was able to identify the style and color of a HH bag I was wearing! I am a hairstylist at Dewitt Salon. I love shopping, skydiving, reading, being outdoors, talking on TPF, traveling, and new adventures. (Wow! Sounds like an ad for match.com)

My favorite URL besides TPF (The Purse Forum) is Brian Germain's, TranscendingFear.com. He does a lot of motivational talks to skydivers and other professions. He shows you how you have the ability to control your fears and change your perception so you will be able to act in any situation. His videos are always inspiring and fun to watch.

*Toni) How many Hayden-Harnett pieces do you currently own?

*Nicole) I have lost track over how many HH pieces I own. Hmmm....probably over 30 bags, at least 15 cuffs, a few wallets and carryalls, some clothes and shoes. I LOVE it all!! I was about to do a collection pic, but got so overwhelmed when I started to pull everything out. I will send you a blurb after work. Thanks for making all these amazing pieces. I was in a fashion slump until I discovered your line. I actually only had owned maybe 5 handbags my whole life before HH. So, after trying to count all my HH items I have around 100 pieces if you include keyfobs and such.

*Toni) WOW! That's an impressive amount to own from one designer. What attracted you to Hayden-Harnett? How did you find us?

*Nicole) My obsession with you started around a year ago when I discovered HH at Target. I was so impressed with the quality and design that I bought the bag, came home, and went to your site. I entered a whole new world! I was never a handbag girl until I discovered HH. Your designs brought out a quality in myself that I never knew I had. The things I love most about HH are the designs, attention to detail, and quality. Some company's have cool designs, but the quality is not there. HH always utilizes the best materials to compliment their fabtastic designs. I also love how you are constantly evolving and growing with your fashion forward, functional pieces. I am confident buying your items even though in most cases I am solely going by a stock photo. That is pretty amazing! I truly love HH!!!!!!

*Toni) Do you have a favorite Hayden-Harnett style?

*Nicole) I have 7 Havanas. I am excitedly waiting on my 8th one(GS)! The Havana is such a classic shape. I think every HH owner should have one! Ask as many questions as you like. I don't mind at all. I can email you a pic tomorrow if that is okay. Do you have a preference as to which bag you want to see? So far the only fall bag I currently own is the grape Newman. I also have the grape and black pleasure cuffs ,cognac Farrow cuff, and the plum Jackson clutch wallet. I also won a Yam Byrne hobotote in the auction before S/S.

*Toni) Where is your salon located? It's obvious you have great taste! I'd love to see your work.

*Nicole) Dewitt Salon. 1890 Southfield Rd. Birmingham, Michigan

*Toni) Thanks so much for doing the interview with me!
