Your URL?
I love The Sartorialist - favourite fashion/photography website. http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/

Why did you choose this look?
Simple, elegant, clean, understated, feminine and edgy. I feel most comfortable in clothing made from natural, quality materials.

  • SONIA Tote, Blueberry $548
  • CELINA Signature Cuff, Eucalyptus/blueberry $78
  • MEMPHIS Cutout Pump, Blueberry colorblock $240

Sandra Cha - Height: 5'4 1/2"
What do you do IRL?
I work in the fashion & music industry. Also behind 102M, startup jewelry line, my sister started. I love to travel, entertain/be entertained, get lost in flea markets, being a beach bum and always love it when it's a wine night.

Your URL?
102m.tumblr.com (sister's jewelry site)!

Why did you choose this look?
I was in between a few looks. ( The wrap dress & the colorful Pandora Flutter tunic- Both very fun and flirty). But I ended up choosing this dress because the back caught my eye. I loved the way the dress flowed and felt against the skin. The back was just gorgeous! It was sexy without being overly revealing. It is simple + playful and can easily go from day- night. And because I do not live in the city, I look for versatile pieces that I can wear to work yet be ready if I have to go to an event or dinner later that night. Because we all know that in New York, someone is always going to an event or someone always wants to have dinner. And it's one of those "go-to" pieces that when you're running late, you can always just wake up, roll out of bed and throw on, knowing that it will look good, which is key. *I know it’s summer but
I had to add the trench because I love coats, jackets and this one was a perfect complement to the dress. Normally I would go with black shoes, however I appreciated the color combo and how it broke up the gray. * Heel could be a little taller. The bag: well, it speaks for itself.

What she’s wearing:
  • PHAEDRA Dress, Black $298
  • PARKER Canvas Trench, Pebble $298
  • TROPHY Bag, Black $678
  • MEMPHIS Cutout Pump, Moonbeam $240
  • ISKIA Link Wedge, Black $238
  • OBLIK ATELIER GUGGENHEIM ring* $375

IRL: Style, issue 12

irl issue 12Laurel Wells - Height: 5'7"
What do you do IRL?
I design clothing for Hayden Harnett, practice and sometimes teach yoga, play in bands, and turn my apartment into a national disaster area with my frequent manic craft projects.

Your URL?
www.laurelwells.com

Why did you choose this look?
The print on this dress is so gorgeous and eye-catching without being flashy, and I love the element of surprise as it just peeps out from under the coat. The Athena sac is perfect for me because I ride my bike everywhere and the strap is long enough to wear cross-body. The shoes are just fantastic--extremely comfortable (I know this for a fact--I broke them in at the Masters in Augusta) and dressy enough to wear at night. I adore Oblique jewelry, it is so delicate and this necklace doesn't overwhelm the bold print on the dress.

What she's wearing:
  • HELENA Wrap Dress, painterly $324
  • PARKER Canvas Trench, crown blue $298
  • ATHENA Sac, Brandy $398
  • ATHENA Cuff, moonbeam $66
  • ATHENA Sandal, Moonbeam $158
  • IRIS Tassel Clip, Multi-color $28
  • OBLIK ATELIER GUGGENHEIM ring* $375
  • OBLIK ATELIER "Slice" necklace* $185

Sara Zucker - Height: 4'10" in flats, up to 5'3" in heels
What do you do IRL?
Right now I'm a "professional intern", working in the archive of a Vanderbilt mansion/museum. My free time has been spent cooking new and old family recipes, keeping my hands busy with arts & crafts projects, taking voice lessons, and applying for jobs since my completion of graduate school two weeks ago.

Why did you choose this look?
I chose this look because I am trying to branch out of my usual layered look of vintage flannels and hoodies. The silk of this dress was so buttery, I couldn't help myself, and grey is my favorite shade. The purse added the perfect pop of color and its threading matched the detail of the dress. I loved the sandals and was shocked at how well they fit (it's so hard to find size 5s!).

What she’s wearing:
  • FORTUNA Dress, Pebble $308
  • LORCA Turnlock, Lagoon $335
  • ISKIA Link Wedge, Black $238
  • OBLIK ATELIER “the fall” earrings*, $300

IRL: Style, issue 8

irl issue 8Kimmie Smith - Height: 5'6"

What do you do IRL?
I'm the Editor in Chief of Kitten Lounge, a site that focuses on fashion, style, beauty, food and music. What started as my initial passion for fashion and music (I am the great niece to the late tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson - but don't ask me to sing) I enjoy bringing people hidden finds, indie designers and musicians as well. This site has taken me to Fashion Week, press events and really allowed me to meet interesting people! I am also the designer of my jewelry line, Kitten Couture which allows you to wear seashell and stone lariats that you can wear the way you want to! Finally, I work with companies as a consultant to integrate Social Media into their plans. This allows me to show them why it's necessary! I love to go out and find the next best place to shop or eat at!

Your URL?
Kitten Lounge http://kittenlounge.onsugar.com and Kitten Couture http://www.shopkittencouture.com

Why did you choose this look?
I chose this look as I like items that can be dressed up or down. I run around a lot and don't have time to change. I love how easy this outfit is. I would wear it just like this to go to an Editor Presentation during the day or to sit with my team to go over the editorial calendar for the following month. But I could wear this out to a party and simply bring a pair of heels with it. The color palette is perfect! I love the pops of color but that it.s not over powering and the light feeling is very whimsical. I love bringing in the grey tones of the bag as it's a great neutral and adds a pop of something in there. Finally, I love the necklace as I always wear pieces that have stone and I am a huge fan of silver. The way it peeks out of the little keyhole is perfect! This is definitely what I would wear to the next Fashion Week as it.s a mixture of a boho style brought to the modern day!

What she's wearing:
  • PANDORA Flutter Tunic, Painterly Print $308
  • WYETH Tote, Eucalyptus $725
  • JOEY Wide Cuff, platinum lizard $80
  • ATHENA Sandal, Moonbeam $158
  • agate and gold necklace*, $28

Stephanie Landry - Height: 5'4"
What do you do IRL?
I'm graphic designer at a big design and branding agency in New York. I collect Eames chairs and am obsessed with mid-century furniture and design. I love taking photos of my adventures with my sweetheart and my friends. I also design and make jewelry, and love french bulldogs and talking about hair.

Your URL?

Why did you choose the first look?
I'm really digging the one piece swimsuit trend. This particular style is classy but sexy at the same time. I love the low neckline and ruffle detail. The colorful shoes add an unexpected twist to a solid black suit. I picked out this yellow tote to match my bright yellow nails and bring more fun into the look. I've been gravitating to my yellow nail polish recently, a fun cheerful color for summer that is surprisingly neutral! The silver jewelry is a perfect finishing touch for swimwear when you don't want your accessories to be too overwhelming or heavy.

What she's wearing:
  • Clio Ruffled Maillot, Black $198
  • EROL Large Canvas Tote, Sun $155
  • ISKIA Link Wedge, Blueberry colorblock $238
  • CELINA Signature Cuff, Moonbeam $78
  • Brandish 'kraz' pick ring* $80

Why did you choose the second look?
I chose the dress for its feminine and floaty cut. The asymmetrical styling is truly unique. This is an easy piece to throw on and and feel effortlessly glamorous. I'm a big fan of the heel on these sandals, they add just a little height and would go with both casual or dressier looks. The stud detailing is fun and a little punk!

What she's wearing:
  • PHAEDRA Dress, Crown Blue $298
  • MATILDA Tote, Steel $488
  • MERCURY Tie Wedge, Eucalyptus $258
  • CELINA Signature Cuff, Moonbeam $78
  • oblik atelier 'the fall' earrings $300
  • agate and gold necklace*, $28

*available at both the Brooklyn and the Manhattan Hayden-Harnett retail locations

it's all about the shoes...

ladies love shoes. men love nice shoes on ladies. good shoes make life worth living, especially in nyc. hayden-harnett <3's shoes. 211 franklin street is shoeville, with no exiles.

ohmydog...everyone at hh is 100% freakily obsessed with shoes, me included. every time the ups guy drops by, 8 out of 10 times, there's a fresh pair of shoes being delivered to some lucky lady who's hoping that "this is the pair"...the magic pair that are super-stylish, comfortable, well-made, and not a total rent buster. the elusive footwear "one".

so, what to do about this all-encompassing problem? bags we have. check. awesome bags for both fashion and travel. apparel we have. check. great dresses and outerwear that we all love and help us refrain from nudity.

shoes were the only thing missing from the mix. time to design some shoes, obviously. so i did. i sat down on saturday, 4/27 and started sketching exactly what i was looking for. style. comfort. personality. crafty leather love. wearability with an edge. kicks with style and soul. interesting to look at. easy to love.

what came of the saturday sketch session? a collection of shoes for hayden-harnett that will launch for spring 2009. nine styles that range from a slide to a zippered cuff boot that can be worn over the knee. all in our signature soft, natural leathers we use on the handbags. seven weeks later, we have a fully sampled line and we're sending out linesheets.

we will be introducing our shoes to buyers during the collections at WSA in the venetian hotel at the end of july. super. hurrah! all the hh ladies love the shoes and i'm now testing out the first pair of personals that i ordered for myself, the iskia link wedge. they float around my foot. they are easy to wear with everything. they are badass and woven with a covered leather wedge heel. they rock and they roll. even ben likes them.

further sneak peeks of hayden-harnett shoes to come.
